Traditional Events

We are happy to add two new traditional events to our walking schedule in November – Sylacauga (Talladega County) –  Saturday, November 6, 2021 and Lineville (Clay County) – Sunday, November 7, 2021. See brochure for details

Please note that for the Lineville walk, we had to change the Start Point because of the Clay County Car Show and Swap Meet that are being held at the City Park that weekend. The brochure has been revised to reflect the new Start Point, which is the parking lot behind the brick bank building at the corner of 5th Ave. and Main St. (Hwy 9). You can either turn in on 5th Ave., then turn left into the parking lot, or turn at the Piggly Wiggly and proceed to the back of the parking lot to the right.

If you are interested in attending the car show/swap meet at the Lineville City Park, there may be a small admission charge.

November Group Walk

In addition to the above two traditional events, our next group walk, which will be the Athens YRE on November 13, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.

Directions to Start Point: Traveling North on I-65 take Exit 351. Travel West on Hwy 72 and continue approximately 1.5 miles. Bear right on Clinton Street and proceed approximately 1 mile. Turn right on Market, then go straight ahead into Big Spring Memorial Park. The start point for the walk is at the Athens Visitor’s Center which is at the park.
